Secret Serivce Crackdown

A few weeks ago, a few of the Presidents secret service agents ignored their duties and disgraced their job. The secret service's job is to protect the President, not order hookers like in Colombia. So instead of watching out for suspicious people to safeguard the President, they consulted with hookers. It wasn’t known of until a dispute of how much two agents would pay the woman occurred. It could've been a dangerous matter of life or death if someone were to attack the President while agents weren't doing their job. Secondly this apparently isn't the first time something like this has happened, which raises thought of our President actually being safe at all times. Clearly any agency of any kind may stray from their duties, but the secret service can’t afford to pull away from the matter of protecting the President. It’s a scary thought that such an important job can be so easily compromised, under our noses. If something were to happen to the President because of this scandal it would be catastrophic and the agents would probably be more than terminated from their job. It just goes to show how human nature is very manipulative, even people of the secret service whose job is the most important one of all. Anyone, even the President himself can be susceptible to corruption or wrong doing, and it’s a scary thought. Nothing happened so it’s a relief, but it isn't completely over with as long as human behavior continues to be.

  1. Secret Service Crackdown
In my classmates blog Secret Service Crackdown blogger Tyler made some good points about the protection and safety of our president. What If the prostitutes were spy’s, they could have obtained valuable information that could jeopardize our country. The secret service agents involved in these kinds of sexual encounters are contributors to the billion-dollar sex industry. Enhancing the profit around the world with prostitution, pornography, and sex trafficking such as this event in Colombia shows the lack of respect for our countries leader and women. These secret service men have disgraced the oath they took to serve this country. I hope new secret service men will replace the disgusted and set a new and better example for the United States.
